For the young explorers of K2 – UDT Shaanthi Montessori, Shaanthi ICSE – Jothinagar, and Shaanthi International Play School – Mahalingapuram, a visit to Pinky Readymades transformed the familiar classroom topic Types of Dresses into a colourful, hands-on experience.
Surrounded by rows of clothing, the children explored colours, sizes, patterns, materials and designs, while discovering that what we wear can depend on the weather, occasion, purpose and need.
The visit also offered a simple glimpse into everyday family life. A readymade store brings together choices that help parents conveniently select clothes for their children according to their needs, sizes and occasions, with assistance when making those choices.
What began as a lesson about dresses became a little journey of looking, wondering, choosing and understanding. The children returned with cheerful memories, new observations and a richer sense of the world around them.
