Nature’s Slow Script

On August 2nd, our S7 explorers from Shaanthi ICSE, Periyakottai, stepped beyond the classroom and into the ancient embrace of Thirumoorthy Hills—where Geography came alive under their feet.

As part of their lesson on Weathering and Soil Formation, students witnessed nature at work:
Cracks in stone split by roots and heat,
Color shifts where water kissed rock,
Mosses and lichens breaking down boulders grain by grain.

Each trail they walked told a quiet tale of transformation—from rock to soil, from moment to memory.
They explored forest floors rich with humus, traced pebbles through stages of erosion, and watched waterfalls sculpt the land below.

And as they returned, backpacks a little heavier with wonder, one truth remained:
The ground beneath us is never still—it’s always becoming.
