When Harvest Became a Heartbeat

On one golden morning, two campuses breathed as one. From Shaanthi ICSE, Jothinagar (JNR) to Shaanthi International Play School, Mahalingapuram (MLP), Pongal arrived not as an event—but as an experience stitched with soil, song, and shared joy.

Kolams bloomed under tiny fingers. Traditional attire turned corridors into living heritage. Clay pots simmered with promise as rice, jaggery, ghee, and nuts—brought lovingly by students—met flame and faith. Each class became a circle of togetherness, where teachers and children cooked, waited, and prayed side by side. Gratitude rose gently with the steam.

The campuses echoed with motion and mirth. Kindergarten Shaanthians discovered culture through play—Nungu Vandi rolling laughter, Kanna Moochi hiding giggles, tug-of-war teaching balance and bonding. Senior students carried tradition with strength and grace through Silambattam and Valli Kummi, while Uri Adithal crowned the day with collective cheer. At JNR, the Director’s presence during pooja added warmth and reverence; at MLP, tasting the sweet Pongal sealed joy with flavour.

The celebration closed not with applause, but with sharing—Pongal served as prasadam, smiles exchanged freely, and culture quietly planted in young hearts.

Here, Shaanthians learned that festivals are lessons—
of gratitude to nature, respect for farmers, and the power of togetherness.
