Markets in Miniature, Magic in Wide Eyes

For our little K1 Shaanthians of Jothi Nagar and Mahalingapuram campuses, the marketplace became more than a busy street—it turned into a living storybook, alive with colours, sounds, and lessons too vibrant to be bound by walls.

Their little steps wandered through bustling lanes where baskets overflowed with tomatoes, brinjals, beans, onions, and leafy greens. Tiny voices rang out as they named vegetables with glee, their eyes sparkling with recognition. Vendors, all smiles, let children try weighing vegetables—small fingers tipping the scales with awe.

Coins clinked, bargains buzzed, and some proudly carried their first “purchases”—bananas, tomatoes, and simple treats—while others soaked in the symphony of sights and sounds.

The market wasn’t just about fruits and vegetables. It was about confidence blooming, curiosity alive, and learning stitched with laughter.

And when the adventure ended, the children carried home more than tiny purchases.
They carried a truth—that the world itself is a classroom, and every marketplace is a page painted with colours, voices, and joy.
