Our S3 students of Shaanthi International Play School, Mahalingapuram stepped into nature’s classroom through an exciting educational visit to a coconut nursery at Samathur, a coir industry, and a dairy farm at Nattukalpalayam.
As they explored the coconut nursery and walked through the lush coconut grove, children learned how coconut trees are nurtured from tiny seedlings into towering trees. At the coir industry, they were fascinated to see how coconut husks are transformed into eco-friendly products such as ropes, mats, and brushes, discovering the importance of sustainability and resourcefulness. Their visit to the dairy farm brought them closer to gentle cows and playful calves, helping them understand the value of animal care, hygiene, compassion, and responsible farming.
These real-world experiences sparked curiosity, encouraged observation, and instilled respect for nature, agriculture, and skilled craftsmanship.
