Sports Day Grand Finale | 2026–2027
The playground came alive with energy and sporting enthusiasm as Shaanthi ICSE & ISC School celebrated its Sports Day Grand Finale on Saturday, 31 October 2026. The celebrations, which commenced in October with preliminary competitions, brought together students from Classes S2 to S12.
The day began with the hoisting of the National Flag, prayer, Tamil Thai Vazhthu and National Anthem. The inauguration was graced by our School Secretary, Mrs. Shanthakumari, and the school leadership. An impressive March Past by Agni and Varuna Houses, followed by the Olympic Torch ceremony featuring students recognised at State and National levels in sports, added pride and inspiration to the occasion.
The track and field events witnessed enthusiastic participation, healthy competition and remarkable team spirit. Beyond medals and victories, students experienced the true lessons of sport — discipline, perseverance, teamwork, resilience and respect for others. These are the qualities that will guide them not just on the playground but throughout their lives.
In the overall results, Agni House emerged victorious with 632 points, while Varuna House secured the Runner-up position with 502 points. Our Correspondent, Mr. Balaji Arunkumar, presented the trophies and inspired students to embrace sportsmanship, active participation and mutual appreciation.
At Shaanthi, we celebrate more than sporting victories; we nurture the character, confidence and courage that shape champions for life.
