At Shaanthi Montessori, Udumalpet, our recent Onam celebration was a vibrant spectacle of community and joy, showcasing the rich traditions of Kerala’s harvest festival.
Students from K0 to S1 collaboratively created a beautiful Pookalam with flowers they brought from home. Students of S1 helped organize the flowers, while all the children worked with their teachers to arrange the stunning floral carpet.
Our teachers then offered to God Onam Sadhya as prasadam . The day ended with our teachers performing an elegant Onam dance, entertaining the children and celebrating the spirit of the festival.
This event was a hands-on lesson in teamwork, cultural appreciation, and shared happiness, reinforcing our school’s commitment to integral education.
