Shaanthi ICSE – Jothi Nagar turned wonderfully vibrant as our S1 learners transformed their classroom into a buzzing Monday Market. The space brimmed with tiny vendors, lively calls, colourful counters, and the unmistakable thrill of hands-on learning.
Children switched roles between buyers and sellers with surprising confidence — counting coins, comparing choices, greeting “customers,” and running their stalls with genuine enthusiasm. Vegetable booths looked refreshingly real, the tea shop drew curious little shoppers, and the traditional kammangool stall added a charming cultural touch.
The star of the day?
A spirited groundnut seller weaving through the “lanes” with her mini cart — and selling out every last packet! The flower stall stole hearts too, with children carefully picking their bright blossoms.
The session closed with happy faces as vegetables were shared equally, reminding everyone that learning feels richest when experienced together.
