At Shaanthi ICSE – Periyakottai, the S3 classroom turned into a small workshop of compassion and care as children learned something truly timeless — how to lend a helping hand when it’s needed most.
What began as a simple Science activity soon transformed into an act of empathy in motion. With wide-eyed curiosity, students explored the world of first aid — discovering that every bandage, every cotton roll, and every antiseptic bottle tells a story of readiness and responsibility. Guided by their teacher, they assembled their own first aid boxes, naming, organizing, and decorating each item with care and pride.
But this wasn’t merely about boxes or supplies — it was about hearts learning to respond before hands do. Each student realized that true education lies not only in knowing facts but in feeling responsible for others. They didn’t just craft first aid kits; they crafted courage, composure, and compassion.
Through this activity, our Shaanthians learned that being prepared is a form of kindness — and that small acts of care can heal in ways science alone never could.
