When a handful of tiny seeds meets a handful of tiny hands, magic happens.
This past monsoon, Shaanthi ICSE – Jothinagar turned pots of soil into playgrounds of patience and wonder. Our S2 children tucked coriander seeds into dark, soft earth, while the spirited S3 group sowed cluster beans, each child pressing down the soil with a secret wish.
Week after week they returned—watering, measuring, counting new leaves, and cheering every shy sprout. Rain clouds teased, sunshine winked, and the waiting turned into a lesson: that growth is slow, but never silent.
By late August the coriander beds rippled green; by September the cluster beans dangled like tiny green lanterns. Laughter bubbled as sleeves rolled up for harvest. The little gardeners proudly carried home their fragrant coriander and crisp beans—gifts they had grown with their own patient hearts.
This wasn’t just gardening. It was science, art, and wonder stitched together by soil and sun—a story of how children can turn ordinary pots into living classrooms and learn that care creates life.
