A Science Lesson in Every Drop

A glass of milk may look simple. But behind it lies a fascinating journey of science, machinery, care and precision—a journey that the S4 learners got to see for themselves.
As an extension of their Science lesson “Our Food,” the students visited Sri Hari Dairy Farm and Krishna Milk Industry on 28 August 2026. The visit opened up the world behind the milk packet, allowing them to observe how milk moves from procurement through processing to its final packaging.
The students explored different milk packets, understood the role of fat in milk composition, and encountered the machinery that makes large-scale dairy processing possible—including the pasteurizer, homogenizer, milk separator, packing machine and boiler.
What makes experiences like this valuable is the shift from “I know this” to “I have seen this happen.” A familiar lesson suddenly gained movement, machinery and meaning.
Because sometimes, the best way to understand what is on the table is to follow its journey all the way back to its source.
