Learning comes alive when students can see and experience what they study. As part of experiential Physics learning, students from Shaanthi ICSE, Jothinagar, and Periyakottai undertook an educational field visit to an HP Petrol Bunk in Periyakottai and the G.D. Naidu Science Museum in Coimbatore.
At the petrol bunk, students explored the practical applications of measurement, density, and pressure, observing fuel measurement and tyre-pressure systems. At the museum, interactive exhibits such as thermal imaging, mirrors, optical illusions, and the Plasma Globe helped them experience concepts related to heat, light, reflection, electricity, and energy.
The visit transformed theoretical learning into hands-on discovery, encouraging students to observe, question, connect concepts with everyday life, and develop scientific thinking. It was an enriching experience that strengthened their understanding of Physics while inspiring curiosity, innovation, and a deeper appreciation of the science around them.
