At Shaanthi ICSE School, Periyakottai and Shaanthi International Play School, Mahalingapuram, our S2 students stepped beyond the classroom into a world of discovery through an enriching visit to a plant farm, animal farm, and oil mill. They explored a variety of plants, understood their importance, observed domestic animals and their role in our daily lives, and witnessed the fascinating journey of seeds being transformed into edible oil. These hands-on experiences brought science to life in a meaningful and memorable way.
More than a field trip, it was a journey that nurtured curiosity, observation, scientific thinking, empathy, and environmental awareness. By connecting learning with real life, our students gained a deeper appreciation for nature, agriculture, and the value of human effort—laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning and responsible citizenship.
