Every journey becomes meaningful when it helps children understand the world they belong to. The S1 students of Shaanthi International Play School, Mahalingapuram and Shaanthi Montessori, Udumalpet embarked on an enriching educational visit through their hometowns, exploring important public places and community landmarks such as the railway station, post office, bank, hospital, fire station, police station, market, library, and other essential civic institutions. Through observation, interaction, and guided discussions, students discovered how these services work together to support everyday life.
More than a field trip, this experience nurtured civic awareness, curiosity, gratitude, and respect for public services. It encouraged children to develop a sense of belonging to their community, appreciate the people who serve society, and understand the importance of being responsible, informed, and compassionate citizens. At Shaanthi, we believe that children who learn to value their community today grow into confident individuals who contribute meaningfully to society tomorrow.
