The day sparkled with anticipation as the young explorers of S2, Shaanthi ICSE School, Periyakottai, journeyed to the serene Thirumoorthy Hills, where a world beneath the waves awaited their eager eyes. What began as a science field visit soon turned into a mesmerizing encounter with the wonders of aquatic life — each fin, bubble, and ripple narrating its own story of grace and survival.
Inside the aquarium, the children were captivated by tanks that gleamed like living gems. Goldfish, featherfin, neon tetras, sucker-mouth fish, angel fish, and even the majestic black moor glided through the water like floating rainbows. Every hue and motion revealed lessons in beauty, balance, and adaptation.
They discovered how fish breathe through gills, thrive in fresh or salt water, and rely on care and cleanliness to live. Watching the aquarium keepers nurture and sustain this underwater world filled the students with wonder and respect for life in all forms.
