Shaanthi Udumalpet Montessori’s tiny trailblazers set out on a refreshing village day-out on 09.12.2025, turning Kannamanaickanoor into an open-air classroom full of discoveries, wonder, and wide-eyed excitement.
The moment the children stepped into the village, they were greeted by emerald fields, tiled-roof homes, fresh breeze, and the warmth of simple rural life. Every turn offered a new sight — cows grazing lazily, hens fluttering around, dogs trotting by, ponds shimmering in the sun, and pumpsets humming their steady tune.
With curious steps, our Shaanthians explored key spots across the village:
• the post office, where letters begin their journeys
• the Anganwadi and Government Middle School, buzzing with local learning
• the ration shop and grocery stores, teaching them how communities stay supplied
• the veterinary hospital, where village animals receive care
• and serene temple spaces that added quiet beauty to their walk
Each stop sparked conversations, questions, and cheerful chatter. The children weren’t just observing village life — they were absorbing values of simplicity, gratitude, and interconnected living.
By the time they returned, their shoes carried dust from the paths they walked… and their hearts carried lessons that shape thoughtful individuals: respect for nature, awareness of community spaces, and appreciation for everyday livelihoods.
