S1 Shaanthians from both our Udumalpet and Jothinagar campuses set out for the Women’s Police Station, and what awaited them was far more than a regular day out. They stepped in with excitement, but returned with a deeper sense of awareness, admiration, and heart.
The women police officers welcomed our children with rare kindness, turning every space in the station into a living classroom. From the complaint desk to the control room, each stop quietly taught them about safety, empathy, and the strength that safeguards our community.
A moment that lit up both groups was meeting Assistant Superintendent of Police Mrs. Shristi Singh. Her warmth, clarity, and patience made her an instant inspiration, and the children loved how she valued every question they asked.
And then came the universal favourite: speaking on the walkie-talkie. That tiny crackle of sound filled them with pure joy.
For both campuses, this visit didn’t just introduce community helpers. It shaped their sense of responsibility, boosted their confidence, and planted the beginnings of thoughtful citizenship.
