On 11-08-2025, our S8A Shaanthians from Jothi Nagar set aside pens for ladles and swapped classroom desks for the warm, aromatic air of Nalakshetra. In small teams, they rolled up their sleeves, measured with care, and cooked their way through a menu of beloved South Indian rice dishes—Coconut Rice, Dhal Rice, Ingi Pulli, Tamarind Rice, and Kambu Curd Rice.
Under the guidance of their teacher, the room filled with the gentle sizzle of tempering spices, the earthy scent of tamarind, and the laughter of teamwork. Each dish told a story—not just of flavour, but of collaboration, patience, and cultural pride.
In an AI-driven world where algorithms can write, calculate, and even draw, there’s one thing no machine can truly replace—the human touch that stirs a pot with care, seasons to taste, and cooks not just for the stomach, but for the soul. Cooking teaches adaptability, resourcefulness, and the ability to nourish oneself and others—skills that will remain timeless in any future.
By the time the spoons clinked against empty plates, the lesson was clear:
A good recipe feeds the body. A shared kitchen feeds life skills.
